Runwal Realty has announced plans to establish three schools across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), with the foundation stone for its first campus laid in Chembur. The schools will also be developed in Mulundand Thane, reinforcing the company’s focus on building integrated communities through quality education.
The Chembur campus is envisioned as an International Baccalaureate (IB) institution designed to provide world-class education in a green and student-centric environment. The project will feature an eight-storey (G+7) academic building along with a 12,000-plus sq. ft. playground, dedicated sports facilities, advanced learning technology and modern educational spaces to support holistic development.
Speaking on the initiative, Saurabh Runwal of Runwal Realty said education is a key pillar in building strong communities and that the new schools reflect the company’s commitment to creating meaningful social infrastructure that benefits families and future generations. He added that the initiative aims to improve access to quality education while contributing to the long-term development of the communities the company serves.
The Chembur school is expected to cater to students from Mumbai’s eastern suburbs and surrounding areas, becoming the first of three planned educational institutions under Runwal Realty’s long-term vision.
The school initiative aligns with the developer’s broader strategy of creating integrated mixed-use communities that combine residential, commercial and social infrastructure. The company said education remains a central focus of its community development efforts, as highlighted in its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP).
