Cross-border real estate investment platform Raveum has launched a fractional investment offering that enables Indian investors to invest in U.S. commercial real estate with a minimum investment of $1,000, making dollar-linked property investments more accessible.
The company said the initiative comes amid growing investor interest in overseas assets as the Indian rupee faces pressure against the U.S. dollar. Through fractional ownership, investors can own a share of pre-vetted U.S. commercial properties without the large capital outlay or operational challenges associated with purchasing an entire property.
Raveum said the platform is designed to help middle-income and emerging affluent investors diversify their portfolios beyond rupee-denominated assets while gaining exposure to income-generating U.S. commercial real estate.
Commenting on the launch, Kabir Israni, Founder of Raveum, said investors should focus not only on the weakening rupee but also on how much of their wealth remains concentrated in a single currency. He added that diversifying into dollar-linked assets can help strengthen long-term purchasing power and wealth preservation.
The platform offers support across property selection, fractional ownership, compliance, taxation and remittance procedures under India’s Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS), providing a structured route for cross-border investments. Raveum said its model aims to simplify access to U.S. commercial real estate by handling regulatory requirements, legal processes and property management, making international real estate investing more accessible to Indian investors.
