AXIS Architecture + Design has completed the AC Hotel Pasadena, a modern and European-inspired hotel in the Playhouse Village arts district. The six-story hotel features 194 rooms, dining, and retail space, and introduces a new select service destination in Pasadena.
Design and Features
The hotel’s design balances the neighborhood’s historical surroundings with AC Hotels’ modern aesthetic. The exterior features balconies and outdoor entertaining spaces, with Trespa paneling and old-world brick cladding. The rooftop restaurant and terrace offer views of the San Gabriel Mountains.
Key Highlights
– Retail Space: Over 5,000 sf of leasable retail space along the hotel’s streetfront.
– Dining and Bars: Two distinct bar experiences, including a lobby-level bar and a destination rooftop restaurant and terrace.
– Interior Design: Executed in collaboration with Wild Muse, featuring an elegantly modern and contemporary European aesthetic.
Cory Creath, AXIS Founding Principal Architect, said, “Our accomplishing this project is a testament to the determination of our clients at The Welcome Group, as well as the collective efforts of the team.”
The AC Hotel Pasadena marks AXIS’ sixth completed AC Hotel project and expands their extensive hospitality design portfolio.
