Connectivity Gap
A key pedestrian skywalk linking Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s Sector 52 station and Noida Metro Rail Corporation’s Sector 51 station in Noida remains non-operational despite being completed over a year ago, leaving thousands of daily commuters without seamless connectivity.
The skywalk was designed to facilitate smooth interchange between the Blue Line and Aqua Line, addressing a long-standing gap in last-mile connectivity between the two networks. However, its prolonged closure has forced commuters to rely on road crossings and informal transit options, impacting convenience and safety.
The delay highlights persistent coordination challenges between multiple agencies involved in urban infrastructure projects. While the physical structure is ready, operationalisation has been held up due to pending clearances and administrative bottlenecks.

For a high-density transit corridor like Noida, where daily ridership continues to grow, the non-functioning skywalk underscores the gap between infrastructure creation and usability.
