Crystal Window & Door Systems, a national manufacturer, celebrated its 35th anniversary recently. Founded by Taiwanese-American immigrant Thomas Chen in 1990, the company has grown from a small commercial garage in Queens, New York, to a leading producer of windows and doors with over one million square feet of production space across five factories in the United States.
Chen, company chairperson, said, “I started Crystal Windows because I believed home and building owners deserved a quality replacement window that was affordable and would last. Today our team continues that tradition, designing and producing a broad array of new products that meet today’s stringent energy codes and deliver high quality, all in the most cost-effective manner.”
The company has supplied products for notable projects, including the OMNI Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C., Harbor Point in Stamford, Connecticut, and the Point Loma Naval Base in San Diego, California. Other clients include hotel chains like Marriott, Holiday Inn, and Hyatt, as well as universities in New York, Florida, Michigan, Texas, and Missouri.
Jeffrey Smith, CEO, Crystal Window & Door Systems, said, “Crystal has a long history of strong growth for more than three decades and the company shows no signs of stopping. There are many new products in development, and plans are underway for new production facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and in North Carolina.”
