Superbond, a manufacturer of architectural cladding solutions, has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Palghar, Maharashtra, and launched SUPERCLAD Flexi Stone, marking its entry into the flexible wall cladding segment. The expansion also includes the commissioning of what the claims is India’s first high-speed Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) production line and a fully automated manufacturing line for flexible stone and PU stone solutions.
The new facility is aimed at strengthening Superbond’s manufacturing capabilities while broadening its product portfolio beyond ACPs. The company said the investment is aligned with growing demand for lightweight, high-performance faรงade materials across commercial, residential, hospitality and institutional projects.
SUPERCLAD Flexi Stone has been developed as an engineered alternative to conventional stone cladding, offering the appearance of natural stone while reducing structural weight and simplifying installation. Manufactured using German-engineered polymer and mineral modification technology, the product is designed for applications including faรงades, feature walls, columns, luxury residences, hotels, offices and retail spaces.
According to the company, the lightweight cladding solution reduces structural dead load by more than 85% compared with traditional stone cladding systems, while offering features such as UV resistance, moisture protection, weather durability and installation using industrial adhesives instead of conventional masonry techniques.
The inauguration also marks a significant manufacturing milestone for the company. The automated production facility, developed over nearly two years, integrates precision engineering and automation to improve product consistency and production efficiency. Superbond said the investment will support domestic manufacturing while reducing dependence on imported flexible stone products.
The company has also positioned sustainability as a key focus for the new product. SUPERCLAD is manufactured using a low-VOC, solvent-free process, while its lightweight construction is expected to reduce transportation emissions and lower structural material requirements during installation.
With the launch, Superbond is targeting architects, faรงade consultants, developers, interior designers and contractors seeking faster installation, design flexibility and lower lifecycle maintenance. The company plans to expand the SUPERCLADโข portfolio with additional surface finishes, larger panel formats, fire-performance variants and backlit decorative systems, while pursuing export opportunities across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
