Poltrona Frau has expanded its Lepli collection, designed by Japanese designer Kensaku Oshiro, with two new seating options: a chair and a small armchair. The additions join the existing indoor and outdoor stool, bench and pouf, and are offered in swivel, wheeled or fixed base versions as part of Poltrona Frau’s “The Five Seasons” collection. According to a press release, the Lepli line draws from the female silhouette, featuring a cinched waist, top‑stitched seams and soft pin‑tucks that blend fashion details with Poltrona Frau’s signature craftsmanship.
The new models retain the collection’s hallmark barrel‑shaped monobloc base, which tapers toward the seat and is accentuated by a decorative leather band. Both seats can be upholstered entirely in Pelle Frau leather (available in ColorSphere, Nest or Soulful variants, all Impact Less) or in 100 % woven fabric with a leather band. A more sophisticated option pairs fabric on the seat and interior backrest with leather on the exterior. When leather is chosen, the ornamental band may match or contrast with the upholstery. The seat and base structure use birch plywood, the backrest combines Polimex and poplar plywood, and padding consists of polyurethane foam and polyester wadding.

The expansion reflects Poltrona Frau’s strategy of reinterpreting existing designs for longevity, proving that great design can adapt while remaining timeless. By offering multiple base options and upholstery choices, the Lepli chair and armchair cater to contemporary mobility needs while preserving elegant proportions and colour combinations.
