With the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIAL) set to open its doors on September 30, 2025, the landmark project is already reshaping the region’s economic and real estate landscape. In a major step towards supporting its workforce, NMIAL has signed an MoU with The Wadhwa Group to secure 405 ready-to-move-in flats at the Wadhwa Wise City, Panvel, for airport staff and their families starting October 2025.
Envisioned to handle 20 million passengers annually in its first phase, eventually scaling to 90 million, NMIAL is not just an aviation hub but a catalyst for urban transformation. The housing tie-up reflects the airport’s role in driving residential demand, infrastructure development, and lifestyle enhancements across Navi Mumbai and beyond.
Wadhwa Wise City, spread across 450 acres within the NAINA region, is Navi Mumbai’s largest integrated township. With 3,000 OC-ready units and robust social infrastructure — including schools, healthcare centers, retail, and recreation — the township offers a self-sustained ecosystem for families linked to the airport and the wider growth corridor.
Sandeep Sonthalia, CEO, The Wadhwa Group, said, “The opening of NMIAL is a once-in-a-generation moment for Navi Mumbai. Our partnership ensures airport personnel access to quality homes while underlining the township’s role as a residential anchor for the region’s future.”
