In the heart of Lucknow, a city steeped in cultural richness, Designers Group designed a contemporary hospitality space that seamlessly combines functionality with aesthetic appeal. The Holiday Inn Lucknow embodies a harmonious balance where practicality meets sophistication, reflecting the city’s rich heritage while catering to the needs of modern travellers.
The interior design brief from the brand emphasized the creation of striking and modern public areas, while the guest rooms were to be kept simple and comfortable. Italian marble flooring in the main lobby creates a striking visual statement, beautifully complemented by a refined reception desk set against a stylish backdrop. Central lounge seating, adorned with vibrant upholstery, introduces a lively energy to the space, while the semi-covered bar features intricately designed metal screens that offer privacy without feeling enclosed.
The expansive layout of the dining area is thoughtfully designed, featuring a central island counter with a buffet, seamlessly paired with an open show kitchen that encourages interaction with dining patrons. This openness extends to the pre-function and banquet areas, where PU-finished doors lend a sophisticated, upmarket feel. Careful planning ensures a seamless flow between these public spaces, avoiding abrupt transitions as guests move throughout the property.
In the guestrooms, a minimalist yet comfortable design philosophy prevails. Subtle touches, such as custom-designed carpets and graphic patterns inspired by Lucknow’s cultural heritage, provide a sense of place without overwhelming the neutral palette. This harmonious balance ensures an inviting and culturally enriched experience for guests.
A standout feature of the property is the strategic planning that places all public areas on a single floor, optimizing efficiency while fostering a seamless sense of connectivity and continuity between spaces. The use of materials like antique brass-finished metal, ribbed glass, and vibrant fabrics elevates the aesthetic, striking a balance between luxury and approachability. Metal screens serve a dual purpose, adding visual interest while functioning as subtle yet effective spatial dividers. Through this project, Designers Group has demonstrated a dedication to excellence, crafting a space that not only caters to modern sensibilities but also sets a benchmark in design, serving as a testament to the evolving landscape of hospitality in Lucknow.
