The Digital Built India( DBI) Regional Extension – Pune concluded at National Institute of Construction Management and Research University with a full-day confluence of infrastructure, mobility, and technology leaders under the theme Maharashtra 2030: Infrastructure Led Economic Transformation. Organised by Construction Data and Collaboration Platform India and buildingSMART India, with NICMAR University Pune as co-organiser, the event brought together policymakers, infrastructure practitioners, digital technology leaders, and academia to deliberate on the digital roadmap powering India’s fastest-growing state economy. Among the key voices at the event was Roy Aniruddha, Founder of TechnoStruct Group, who was among a select group of industry leaders invited to participate in The Great Roundtable, Shaping Maharashtra’s Open, Inclusive & Future-Ready Digital Information Management Policy, the capstone technical session of the day.
The invitation-only industry dialogue was structured around five critical discussion themes. These included the role of Digital Information Management in Maharashtra’s infrastructure transformation, information governance across the infrastructure asset lifecycle, open standards, interoperability and collaborative digital ecosystems, opportunities and challenges in industry-wide adoption, and future directions for digital transformation within Maharashtra’s built environment sector. Insights and recommendations emerging from the session are expected to be consolidated by CDCPIndia into a whitepaper intended to inform broader industry dialogue on digital transformation across Maharashtra’s infrastructure and built environment sectors.
Industry Focus on Interoperability

The session also evaluated opportunities and challenges in industry-wide adoption of digital information management, particularly for small and medium enterprises that often face barriers in accessing and using standardised data frameworks. These themes are central to Maharashtra’s goal of infrastructure-led economic transformation by 2030.
