The Sarovar Portico hotel is expected to open in 2029 as part of Crescent, a 140,000 sq. ft. commercial development at TDI Smart City.
TDI Infratech has signed an agreement with Sarovar Hotels to develop a 72-key Sarovar Portico hotel at Crescent, its upcoming commercial development at TDI Smart City, Mohali. The hotel is expected to open in 2029, adding a branded hospitality component to the developerโs integrated real estate project.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Ajay K. Bakaya, Chairman, Sarovar Hotels, and Akshay Taneja, Managing Director, TDI Infratech.
Crescent is a G+8-floor development spanning approximately 140,000 sq. ft. of built-up area and comprising 100 units. The proposed hotel will cater to business and leisure travellers across Mohali and the Chandigarh Tricity region.
Planned facilities include a spa, gym, swimming pool, all-day dining restaurant and banqueting services. The hotel will complement the developmentโs commercial offering by providing accommodation and related services for businesses and visitors.
Akshay Taneja, Managing Director, TDI Infratech, said the partnership aligned with the companyโs strategy of integrating commercial infrastructure with branded hospitality to create destinations that address the needs of businesses and travellers. He added that Mohaliโs development as a commercial and urban centre presented opportunities for such integrated projects.
Rajesh Ranjan, Senior Vice-President โ Development, Sarovar Hotels, said the partnership reflected the companyโs focus on markets where business activity and urban development were generating demand for quality hospitality. Mohaliโs position within the Chandigarh Tricity offered an opportunity to serve corporate and leisure travellers, he added.
The project comes amid the development of Mohali as part of the wider Chandigarh Tricity market, supported by commercial, residential and institutional activity. For TDI Infratech, the hotel adds a hospitality component to Crescentโs commercial proposition, while expanding Sarovar Hotelsโ presence in the region.
