Tata Sons, in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Culture and the Uttar Pradesh government, is set to begin construction of a world-class “Temple Architecture Museum” in Ayodhya next month. The museum will celebrate the design, history, and cultural significance of temples globally, establishing Ayodhya as a premier cultural destination.
The project will be developed on a 35-acre plot in Manjha Jamtara village, leased to Tata Sons by the Uttar Pradesh government for 90 years at a nominal rate of โน1 per annum. With an estimated budget of โน750 crore, largely funded through Tataโs corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, the museum aims to be a state-of-the-art tourist attraction showcasing Sanatan culture and temple architecture.
N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, recently met with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to discuss the project. The initiative will be mentored by Vinayak Deshpande, who played a pivotal role in constructing Indiaโs new Parliament building.
“This museum will offer a unique cultural and architectural experience to visitors from around the world, blending history with modernity,” a source stated. The museum is expected to boost Ayodhyaโs global prominence as a cultural and spiritual hub.
