Design Shanghai has announced its 12th edition, taking place from June 4-7 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center. The event will explore the power of human-centric design, featuring over 600 carefully chosen design products across four sections.
Zhuo Tan, Event Director, Design Shanghai, said, “Over the past 12 years, Design Shanghai has grown while remaining youthful at heart, consistently embracing ever-evolving challenges with unwavering commitment. This year, we will place greater emphasis on human-centred design, making the exhibition more personal and meaningful.”
The event will showcase top companies from over 30 countries and regions, including renowned brands like Bulo, Formitalia, Vitra, and Lalique. Section 1 and 2 will feature modern designs in furniture, lighting, kitchens, bathrooms, and systems. Section 3 will highlight sustainable innovations from companies like Mapei, Burgeree, and Ultrasuede. Section 4 will display exquisite craftsmanship from luxury design brands like Herend, Lomonosov, and Sabre Paris.
Design Shanghai 2025 will also include three significant speaker conferences: the CMF Conference, the Design for Wellbeing Conference, and the Global Design Conference with the theme “Design for Humanity.” Notable speakers include Ole Scheeren, Chief Designer, Buro Ole Scheeren, and Satoshi Ohashi, Director (China), Zaha Hadid Architects.
