Presented during Hábitat Valencia, the win highlights a proposal that moves beyond bathroom furniture to become a sensory and architectural experience. Born from a minimal, timeless concept, TABÚ uses a light geometric language that invites touch and interaction with the user.
The name TABÚ refers to that which surprises and challenges convention. “TABÚ does not follow rules — it reinvents them,” the studio notes. Each piece is an exercise in synthesis between proportion, detail and materiality. Fluid lines and balanced proportions transform the bathroom into a refuge of silent well-being. For architects and interior designers, the collection signals a shift: bathrooms specified as intimate, sculptural spaces rather than utilitarian wet areas in luxury residential and hospitality projects.
TABÚ reinterprets materials closely linked to the Butobath brand, contextualized by environment and client profile. The obsession with detail shows in every junction, the precision of connections, and the fluidity of forms. The result combines visual lightness with formal strength, a key factor cited by the award jury. Noble materials include natural woods, porcelain surfaces, and micro-textured lacquer finishes selected for durability, tactility, and elegance.
