SPIE Elektromontaż Poznań S.A. has completed a cutting-edge electrical installations project at Gdańsk University of Technology’s Eco-Innovation Centre, a 13,000 sqm epitome of sustainable architecture. The facility, dubbed a “Construction Oscar” winner, boasts smart lighting, photovoltaic panels, and a wind turbine, covering 25% of its energy needs.
The electrical installations include energy-efficient lighting tailored to specific research areas, a sophisticated LAN and fibre optic network, and integrated fire protection and security systems. “Integrating various energy systems was a complex challenge, requiring precision and expertise,” said Janusz Orzech, SPIE Elektromontaż Poznań.
The Eco-Innovation Centre’s design prioritises environmental responsibility, featuring a green roof, heat pumps, and grey water recovery. SPIE’s smart systems enhance the building’s intelligent ecosystem, supporting sustainable research in clean water technologies, wind energy, and circular economy.
