European e-commerce furniture retailer Sklum has implemented Dassault Systèmes’ HomeByMe Product Configurator on its website, allowing customers in over 10 countries to customize sofas, wardrobes, and bathrooms in 3D. The interactive solution provides real-time pricing updates and enables shoppers to visualize their preferences, accelerating the sales cycle and boosting customer satisfaction.
“Using a 3D web product configurator is attractive for consumers, and the lifelike 3D rendering enables us to better highlight the quality of our products,” said Oana Matei, Chief Marketing Officer, Sklum. “HomeByMe provides capabilities to generate interactivity and visibility while showcasing ready-to-purchase products.”
The HomeByMe Product Configurator replaces static product catalogs, offering a smooth purchasing experience from start to finish. Sklum plans to extend the configurator to products for every room in the house, further enhancing its e-commerce business.
“HomeByMe breaks down the limits of static images and catalogs online to enable retailers to increase their digital footprint,” said Annabel Chaussat, CEO, 3DVIA, Dassault Systèmes. “By making HomeByMe available on its website, Sklum offers multiple, modular configuration possibilities so that shoppers can find exactly what they want.”
