Patel Infrastructure Ltd. has set a world record for constructing 34.24 lane kilometers of the 6-lane Ganga Expressway within 24 hours. Recognized by the Golden Book of World Records, India Book of Records, and Asia Book of Records, the feat involved laying 20,105 metric tons of bituminous concrete and covering 171,210 square meters.
The record-breaking effort took place on May 17-18, 2025, between Hardoi and Unnao districts under the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) and Adani Road and Transport Ltd. (ARTL). Local and state authorities fully supported this milestone project, a critical segment of India’s longest state-owned expressway.
Patel Infrastructure’s subsidiary, Road Shield Private Limited, contributed to the installation of 10 km of metal beam crash barriers, further ensuring safety standards. UPEIDA CEO Manoj Kumar Singh supervised the operations.
Arvind Patel, Managing Director of Patel Infrastructure, stated, “This record reflects Indian engineering brilliance and our commitment to nation-building.”
The Ganga Expressway is a dream initiative of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, aimed at enhancing regional development and national connectivity. This achievement underscores India’s growing infrastructure capabilities and sets a benchmark for global engineering excellence.
