A proposal to build Australia’s tallest building in Southport on the Gold Coast has received approval from the City of Gold Coast. The project, named One Park Lane, comprises a 101-storey residential tower that will reach nearly 400 metres in height and a neighbouring 60-storey commercial office tower with over 11,600 square metres of office space.
The residential tower will feature 197 apartments, while the commercial tower will provide office space. The towers will be linked via a fully glazed skybridge on the 22nd floor, containing a hospitality offering, landscaped areas, and 360-degree views of the city.
The design, prepared by BKK Architects and developed by Cottee Parker, features an elevated podium supported by root-like columns inspired by the Moreton Bay fig tree. The towers will be clad in high-performance glazing in a dark grey shade, with transparent glass wrapping communal areas.
Construction is anticipated to commence in early 2026.
