Man Infraconstruction Ltd (MICL) has successfully delivered the Bharat Mumbai Container Terminal (BMCT) Phase II at Jawaharlal Nehru Port, now India’s largest standalone container port. The facility was inaugurated virtually by Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Lawrence Wong, with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other dignitaries in attendance.
Built under a public-private partnership model, BMCT Phase II adds a 2,000-meter quay and 4.8 million TEU capacity, positioning the port as a critical hub for global trade. MICL executed the development on an 110-hectare land parcel, awarded in June 2023 through competitive tendering.
The project integrates green infrastructure, multimodal logistics, and advanced engineering solutions, showcasing MICL’s role in scaling up India’s maritime assets.
