GAP Group has appointed German architectural firm Blocher Partners as the design consultant for its flagship Akhilam township project in Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR). The Rs 2,000 crore project spans over 40 million sq. ft. and will integrate commercial spaces, residential developments, hotels, and social infrastructure. Akhilam is envisioned as a large-scale mixed-use township, with Phase I including Avant, a 9 lakh sq. ft. studio apartment development comprising 1,000 units, already under construction.ยน ยฒ
Blocher Partners will cover approximately 6 lakh sq. ft. of development, with the phase scheduled to commence this year and overall project completion targeted by 2029. The firm is internationally recognized for its work in sustainable architecture and large-scale urban developments.

The project is part of Dholera’s growing ecosystem, with major projects underway, including Tata Group’s semiconductor fabrication plant and GAP Group’s 5 GW solar cell manufacturing unit. Dholera is projected to generate over 1.5 lakh jobs by 2030.
