FLOR, a high-end area rug brand, has introduced Terra Nova, its latest carbon negative area rug style that stores more carbon than is released during production. This expansion supports the company’s goal to be carbon negative by 2040 and reinforces its commitment to sustainability.
Terra Nova features a contemporary take on handwoven textiles, with two distinct colorways, Dune and Topaz. The style combines performance benefits with design and sustainability, aligning with FLOR’s mission to make great design accessible without compromising the environment.
“Sustainability is a part of FLOR’s DNA,” said James Pope, General Manager of FLOR. “We design products that result in less carbon in the air and more stored in our products.”
FLOR’s carbon plan focuses on avoiding, reducing, and storing more carbon than is released. The company has sold over 39,000 carbon negative carpet tiles, avoiding carbon emissions equivalent to not charging 710,271 smartphones.
Terra Nova is now available for purchase on FLOR’s website, joining the brand’s portfolio of carbon negative area rugs.
