Manarbek Toleu, a USC Price School alumnus, is living his dream as an architectural designer for Walt Disney Imagineering, creating immersive experiences at Disneyland. From designing a 50-foot princess castle sculpture to a spaceship control panel, Toleu’s work is a testament to his passion for architecture and innovation.
Toleu’s journey began in rural Kazakhstan, where he built horse stables on his family’s farm, inspiring his future career. He draws inspiration from his childhood and Kazakhstan culture, incorporating unique elements into his designs, such as the ornaments used for the Disneyland 70th Celebration Esplanade Pavilion.
The USC Price School alum’s work involves striking a balance between creativity and Disney’s iconic brand, with a focus on research and storytelling. His experience in urban planning and real estate development has equipped him with the skills to bring his imaginative ideas to life.
