Danish supermodel, photographer, and entrepreneur Helena Christensen has been appointed as the new global artistic director of BoConcept. In this role, Christensen will shape the brand’s creative vision, working closely with new design talent, featuring in and producing brand campaigns, and designing furniture and developing fabrics that reflect her effortless sense of style.
Christensen expressed her enthusiasm for the new role, stating: “This is a dream come true for me. I’ve always loved interiors, and this speaks to so many of my passions for design, creativity, and living intentionally.”
With a passion for interiors that spans two decades, Christensen has already made a mark in the industry. She co-founded the concept store Butik in New York City with Leif Sigersen 20 years ago and is also the co-founder of the interior design and lifestyle studio Staerk & Christensen.
Christensen’s approach to design emphasizes the importance of creating spaces that evoke feelings of comfort, beauty, and reflection. “Design is more than the details of aesthetics, it’s about how it makes you feel when you walk through the door,” she explained.
Christensen’s first creative project for BoConcept will be an exclusive set of flora art prints from her personal photography archive, available for purchase in March.
