Haydn von Werp’s Arcus collection merges architectural flair with Italian craft, showcasing a harmonious blend of function and form. The three-piece furniture collection, unveiled at Maison & Objet in Paris, exudes sculptural elegance, symbolizing quiet strength and intentional design. Haydn von Werp, based in Milan, draws inspiration from ancient architectural ruins, combining artisanal construction with sophisticated detailing.
The collection comprises a daybed, bar cart, and bench, pairing wood with stone to create pieces that are both modest and elevated. Von Werp’s design ethos emphasizes true craftsmanship, where objects reveal themselves over time, developing a relationship with the user. He collaborates with local artisans, valuing their material intelligence and technique.
The launch of Arcus follows Tresse, a dining table showcased at Edit Napoli in October 2025. Von Werp is also launching a tableware line, extending his architectural language to everyday contexts. He aims to build a design house rooted in craftsmanship, with an international outlook and commitment to precision and material integrity.
