German fenestration solutions provider Koemmerling has expanded its presence in the Mumbai metropolitan region with the inauguration of a new Experience Centre in Navi Mumbai, reinforcing its focus on India’s growing infrastructure and premium construction market.
Located in CBD Belapur, the facility was inaugurated by Dr. Peter Mrosik, Owner and CEO of the profine Group, along with Farid Khan, Chairman and Managing Director of profine India, and Kamal Bajaj, CEO of profine India. The launch was attended by architects, developers, channel partners and industry stakeholders.
The inauguration also marked the Indian debut of Koemmerling’s aluminium minimal sliding door system, Allure S46, developed specifically for the domestic market. The non-thermal sliding system has been designed to cater to growing demand for minimalist architectural designs, larger glass surfaces and seamless indoor-outdoor integration in premium residential and commercial projects.
According to the company, the system features concealed frame profiles integrated within walls, floors and ceilings, eliminating visible tracks and sills. The product also incorporates a 20-mm ultra-slim interlock sightline, supports panel sizes of up to 2 metres by 3 metres, accommodates glazing thicknesses between 28 mm and 34 mm and offers wind resistance of up to 3 kPa. The system is available in both two-track and three-track configurations.
Speaking on the expansion, Dr. Peter Mrosik said, “India is one of the most dynamic and vital markets for our global growth. Our continued investments in state-of-the-art infrastructure and advanced R&D reflect our unwavering dedication to bringing world-class fenestration solutions closer to our customers.”
Farid Khan described the Navi Mumbai facility as a significant milestone in the company’s regional expansion strategy. He said the centre would provide architects, developers and homeowners with an immersive platform to experience Koemmerling’s product innovations, including the newly launched minimal sliding door system.
Kamal Bajaj added that the Experience Centre will serve as a strategic touchpoint for customers in western India, showcasing the company’s portfolio of uPVC and aluminium window and door systems while supporting evolving architectural requirements.
The expansion comes as demand for high-performance building materials and energy-efficient fenestration solutions continues to grow across India’s residential, commercial and hospitality sectors, driven by rising investments in infrastructure and premium real estate development.
