District Development Commissioner (DC) Pankaj Kumar Sharma reviewed key heritage conservation and restoration projects in Kishtwar, proposed under the J&K Architecture & Heritage Scheme. The meeting discussed projects like preserving Sai Draman Heritage Site, Bhatan Dimiji Buddhist Site, and renovating Devigol Jwala Mata Temple.
The DC directed the PWD R&B Department to invite tenders, ensuring participants have executed similar works. He emphasized preserving traditional architectural patterns and historical aesthetics, boosting heritage-based tourism and socio-cultural development.
The projects aim to preserve Kishtwar’s historical, spiritual, and cultural identity, enhancing religious tourism potential. Attendees included ADDC Vinod Kumar Behnal and other sectoral officers.
