Godrej Properties has strengthened its presence in North Bengaluru with the acquisition of a 48-acre land parcel in Doddaballapur, following recent significant investments in the region. The Mumbai-headquartered developer plans to develop approximately 1.1 million sq ft of plotted residential units on the site.
Doddaballapur is emerging as a real estate hotspot, benefiting from its proximity to Kempegowda International Airport, the ongoing Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR) project, growing industrial investment, and scenic attractions such as Nandi Hills.
Gaurav Pandey, Managing Director and CEO of Godrej Properties, stated, โThis investment reinforces our focus on expanding our presence in key growth corridors through wellโplanned residential communities. Bengaluru continues to be a priority market for usโ.
The acquisition adds to the companyโs existing North Bengaluru portfolio and underscores its long-term strategy of strategically investing in high-growth micro-markets Hindustan Times+1Business Standard+1. This follows a similar move in Raipur, where Godrej Properties acquired around 50 acres for a plotted development worth an estimated 0.95 million sq ft of saleable area.
Godrej Properties, a subsidiary of the Godrej Industries Group, is among Indiaโs leading developers with operations across major cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Pune. The Doddaballapur acquisition highlights the groupโs continued focus on expanding its residential footprint in fast-developing urban and peri-urban zones.
