Swiss Army knife manufacturer Victorinox has reopened two stores in Japan, one in Tokyo’s Ginza district and another in Fukuoka, featuring a new retail experience design by global strategy and design studio Dalziel & Pow. The Ginza store’s exterior is inspired by the iconic Swiss Army Knife, with a faรงade that reflects the tool’s slatted structure.
The store’s layout is designed to provide a structured and accessible experience, with clear signage and wayfinding elements. Interactive displays showcase each knife’s story, allowing visitors to explore and choose the perfect Swiss Army Knife. A personalisation table enables customers to create and assemble their own knife, surrounded by workshop-inspired tools and technical illustrations that highlight Victorinox’s craftsmanship heritage.
Marcus King, Creative Director at Dalziel & Pow, said, “We are proud to have been global strategic partners for Victorinox since 2020 and it’s great to see further rollout of our retail experience designs across Japan. We have a lot more exciting projects on the horizon with Victorinox, watch this space.”
