Truhome Finance Limited (formerly Shriram Housing Finance), a leading affordable housing finance company, has received a INR417 crore capital infusion from its majority shareholder, Warburg Pincus, a global private equity firm.
This investment follows Truhome’s recent achievement of crossing INR20,000 crore in Assets Under Management (AUM) in September 2025 and strengthens its balance sheet for the next growth phase. With this infusion, Truhome’s net worth exceeds INR 4,000 crore, while Warburg’s shareholding rises to 98.59%.
Over the past two years, Truhome has doubled its AUM and expanded to 200 branches, supported by nearly 5,000 employees nationwide.
Ravi Subramanian, MD & CEO, said the investment reinforces Warburg’s confidence in the company’s long-term growth strategy and positions it to reach INR25,000 crore AUM, focusing on expansion and asset quality.
G.S. Agarwal, CFO, added that the strengthened capital base will drive network expansion to 250 branches by FY26and sustain disciplined, high-quality growth across India’s affordable housing market.
