Studio Dot has designed a retail store for The Wardrobe Company in Okhla, New Delhi, prioritizing customer experience through a circular path called ‘The Loop’. This sequential path guides customers through displays, encouraging engagement and participation in the design process.
Shubhit Khurana and Anmol Arora, principal architects, explain, “Nothing competes for attention, instead, the space allows products, conversations, and decisions to unfold naturally.” The store features zones like the Idea Lab and Workshops Area, where customers can collaborate with designers, and a central area showcasing the brand’s story and products.
The design incorporates a minimal palette of grey microconcrete, white lime plaster, and stainless steel, conveying calmness, openness, and precision. Pops of red add visual interest, while textured surfaces balance product display.
“The surfaces had to feel warm and textured, but never overpower the products,” say the architects. The store invites customers to “build ideas, not just wardrobes,” creating a unique retail experience.
