Nila Spaces has announced that its upcoming residential development, PRANA, has been awarded the Precertified WELL Residence designation by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). With this recognition, PRANA becomes Indiaโs second residential project to achieve this milestone, reinforcing Nila Spacesโ positioning at the forefront of health-focused housing development.
The precertification marks a key step in PRANAโs progression toward full WELL Residence certification and acknowledges the projectโs early integration of health and well-being principles into its design and planning. The WELL for residential framework is grounded in scientific research and evaluates how homes support physical and mental health through more than 100 evidence-based strategies.
Commenting on the achievement, Deep Vadodaria, Managing Director, Nila Spaces, said the recognition reflects the developerโs belief that residential real estate must play a proactive role in addressing urban health challenges. He noted that the WELL framework shifts the focus beyond design aesthetics and amenities to how residents live, breathe and experience their homes on a daily basis.
PRANA earned points across all ten core WELL conceptsโAir, Water, Nourishment, Light, Movement, Thermal Comfort, Sound, Materials, Mind and Communityโalong with additional credits under Innovation, highlighting a comprehensive, integrated wellness-led approach.
Prateek Khanna, Chief Operating Officer, IWBI, said the project demonstrates how early adoption of the WELL framework can help deliver healthier and more resilient homes at scale, setting an important benchmark for the Indian residential market.
The WELL Residence designation is granted following independent third-party review and verification, with projects required to achieve a minimum of 40 points to qualify.
