Mahindra World City Developers (MWCDL) has agreed with the government of Tamil Nadu to bring in investments of over INR 1,000 crores in the next five years. This move is expected to create jobs for more than 2,000 people in the state. The announcement coincides with the launch of Origins by Mahindra – Phase II in Eliambedu village, Chennai, which will serve as the foundation for this investment.
The company has already established its presence in the district with a successful first phase. Companies like Yanmar Engine Manufacturing India, Nissei Electric India, USUI Susira International, Mitsubishi Electric, Omron Healthcare, Track Designs India, INTJR Precision Technology, Autogrip Machinery India, Masano Seiki, and Ashirvad Pipes have chosen this location. Origins by Mahindra in Chennai holds the distinction of being the first industrial cluster in Tamil Nadu to receive the prestigious IGBC Green Cities’ ‘Platinum’ rating, showcasing a commitment to sustainable and environmentally conscious industrial development.
