Italy’s timber and furniture sector showed resilience in 2025, with exports totalling €12.7bn in the first eight months, a marginal decline of 0.2%. Furniture production grew 4.3% in October, marking a recovery after two tough years, driven by domestic market stabilisation and construction incentives.
Export performance varied, with growth in the UK, Spain, and UAE, while France, Germany, and China saw declines. Morocco emerged as a fast-growing market, driven by construction and hospitality investment. The sector faces ongoing global uncertainty, with August exports falling 4.7%.
