International Flooring Company (IFC) has expanded its partnership with the Floor Covering Education Foundation (FCEF) through a retailer match initiative. The program aims to address the critical installer shortage in the flooring industry by funding scholarships, training programs, and recruitment efforts.
IFC’s existing commitment involves donating $0.01 per square foot on all Canopy branded products sold to FCEF. The new retailer match program invites Canopy retailers to contribute an additional $0.01 per square foot to match IFC’s donation. This collaborative effort demonstrates the industry’s commitment to workforce development and aims to create a sustainable solution to the labor shortage.
With a 52% participation rate among retailers, the initiative has already garnered significant support, and more retailers are expected to join in the coming weeks. By supporting the development of the next generation of skilled flooring installers, IFC’s Canopy and FCEF are working together to address a critical challenge facing the flooring industry.
