Design is difficult to explain, but easy to understand. Returning to the city for its second edition, Design POV will highlight this nature of aesthetic and functionality across multiple facets of design, architecture, and sculpture that contribute to a living space. Spread across three days, the second edition of this design showcase brings new ideas of immersive, multi-sensorial design for a changing city. The event runs from May 15 to 17 at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, with tickets starting at Rs 1799.
ย This year, the three-day showcase is centred on the theme of Sense and Sensibility. Co-founder Asif Sataar explains that with this theme, the team is consciously shifting the lens toward how a space is experienced. Texture, sound, atmosphere and emotion are not secondary layers, they are fundamental to how people connect with a space. Each edition strengthens that ambition through sharper curation, stronger collaborations and immersive environments that allow people to connect meaningfully with design, concludes fellow founder Gagan Bhatia.
This Bengaluru-based studio reinterprets the archetype of the South Indian courtyard in the context of the urban living room. Atmospheres of being: Pune-based Sparc Design Studio taps into the five senses to create a space embedded with sculptural installations, scent, and tactile experiences to keep to the theme. Abin and ADND Studio: These Mumbai-based studios bring an experiential environment-led narratives. Design Hex and Jannat Vasi Interior Design: Head over for an experience of material-rich interiors with sensory focus.
Designers Jasmine Jhaveri, Riddhika Jesrani, join architect Maitri Shah, Mita Mehta and Saniya Tadha on a panel to find the key to inventive design, the right materials. The session is on May 15 at 3 pm. The body as instrument: Architects Rahul Mistry and Hardesh Chawla sit down with photographer Saurabh Suryan to understand experiences defined by touch and senses. This talk takes place on May 16 at 12.30 pm. Culture in conversation: Sit down as historian and hotelier Aman Nath joins designer Vandana Saxena, and eco-architect Rahul Bhushan to discuss the role of culture in ideas of immersive and experiential design. The panel is scheduled for May 17 from 2 pm onwards.
Touch as design language: An immersive workshop highlights tactile experiences in design. The workshop runs on May 16 at 2.30 pm and focuses on how materials and texture shape spatial perception. The programming is designed to move beyond visual presentation and engage attendees through sound, scent, and touch. The curators aim to show that minimalism and modernism are not just about restraint, but about the craft and detail that inform how spaces feel. The event brings together architects, interior designers, artists, and material specialists to explore design as a lived practice.
