Crown Creative’s recent project with Birch Cabins, a luxury glamping brand, showcases the power of multidisciplinary design thinking. The Belfast-based studio designed everything from the logo to lighting, creating a cohesive experience centered around stillness.
The brand identity, interior design, and digital experience are built from the same idea, earning commendations at the Institute of Designers in Ireland awards. The logotype references a 17th-century sign, and the color palette mirrors the surrounding landscape. The interior architecture features oak cladding, a sliding door, and expansive glazing, maintaining visual continuity.
The website and social media follow the same template: earthy tones, white space, and texture-driven photography. Local collaborations with artists and craftspeople deepen the story, connecting guests to the local community.
“Crown Creative’s work demonstrates that multidisciplinary design isn’t about breadth of services, but depth of thinking,” says Tom May. The project’s restraint and simplicity create a cohesive experience, trusting the forest surroundings to do the work.
