Cascadia Windows & Doors and LuxWall have partnered to develop an ultra-high-performance window system, achieving an R-11+ total window insulating value. This innovative system combines LuxWall’s Enthermal Plus transparent insulation with Cascadia’s commercial-grade Universal Series fiberglass window frame.
The collaboration aims to provide energy-efficient and sustainable window solutions for buildings. According to Mike Battistel, President at Cascadia Windows & Doors, “The combination of LuxWall’s groundbreaking Enthermal transparent insulation and our fiberglass frames creates a window with energy performance levels that are truly transformative.”
The partnership also offers glass-only retrofits or secondary window system retrofits, enabling commercial building owners to upgrade their thermal performance without complete window replacement. “Retrofitting existing older windows with high-performance glass can be a cost-effective way to improve energy efficiency and minimize tenant disruption,” Battistel added.
Scott Thomsen, Co-Founder and CEO of LuxWall, notes that their collaboration represents a “major step forward for energy-efficient building design.” The new window system provides superior thermal insulation and sustainability benefits, making it an attractive solution for commercial buildings.
