Fulcrum Studio has designed an innovative office space in Bengaluru, inspired by the weightless and ever-changing nature of clouds. The 7,000-square-foot office, dubbed “The Cloud Office,” features metallic floating walls, foggy glass panels, and natural flooring.
“We wanted to create a setting where thoughts flow freely, ideas take shape, and possibilities feel limitless,” says Husna Rahaman, architect and founder of Fulcrum Studio. The design aims to evoke the fluidity of clouds while maintaining an open and connected environment.
The office features floating partitions made from diverse materials, separating zones without enclosing them. The use of light is also unusual, with a focus on softening the color to mimic natural sunlight. The addition of colors such as grey, antique gold, lead, and silver adds an aura of intrigue.
The design team has chosen natural, unpolished flooring to create a tactile experience. “We added a tactile feel to the flooring which makes you want to slip off your shoes and feel the rawness underfoot,” says Rahaman.
