Avian, a luxury furniture store, introduced a new marble collection at its MG Road Delhi and Gurgaon showrooms recently according to a press release. The collection features handcrafted marble tables with sculptural designs, showcasing Avian’s signature focus on craftsmanship, proportion, and natural elegance. Each piece is carved from white marble with organic grey veining, giving them unique quiet variations.
The collection includes a range of pieces, such as fluted side tables with soft fluted bases and round tops, ribbed consoles with rectangular tops and ribbed cylindrical legs, tapered fluted tables with round tops and tapered, fluted bases, ribbed centre tables with smooth round tops and four carved, ribbed legs, and sculptural centre/side tables with round tops and curved pedestal bases. These designs reflect a return to material honesty, with clean shapes, subtle details, and respect for the stone’s natural character.
“We’ve worked with marble before, but this time the focus was restraint โ clean shapes, just enough detail, and a lot of respect for the natural character of the stone,” says Pradeep Puri, Founder & Managing Director of Avian. Ameesha Puri, Creative Director at Avian, adds, “Marble is back, but not in the overly glossy, decorative way. These are pieces that feel architectural โ functional, but with a sculptural edge.”
