The Crafts Council of Telangana (CCT), a voluntary non-profit organization established in 1987 announced two landmark initiatives—Kausalyam 2026 and Threads of Hope Bazaar—that celebrate India’s rich craft traditions while supporting artisan livelihoods and communities facing adversity.
Kausalyam 2026 will be held at Anvaya Convention, Financial District, Hyderabad, from July 15 to 16, 2026. The inaugural day on July 14 is by invitation, while the event will be open to the public on July 15 and 16 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Entry is free.
Another event is Threads of Hope Bazaar, a special solidarity initiative dedicated to supporting artisans, craft communities, and small creative enterprises affected by the devastating fire that swept through Dastkar Nature Bazaar earlier this year.
Threads of Hope Bazaar will be held at CCT Spaces, MLA Colony, Off Road No. 12, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, on July 31 and August 1, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on both days.
The proceeds from Kausalyam 2026 will support the revival and upliftment of the Bharoon Embroidery Cluster while also contributing towards Threads of Hope Bazaar, a special rehabilitation initiative for artisans affected by the devastating fire at Dastkar Nature Bazaar, New Delhi, on March 15, 2026.
Kausalyam 2026, organized once every five years in collaboration with renowned textile revivalist Gaurang Shah, is a special fundraising initiative that brings together India’s finest textile traditions, handcrafted products, artisan enterprises, designers, collectors, and cultural enthusiasts under one roof. The event seeks to deepen appreciation for handmade traditions, strengthen artisan livelihoods, and preserve India’s diverse craft heritage for future generations.
Kausalyam 2026 will feature more than 75 textile studios and craft exhibitors, over 120 stalls, and 40-plus curated handcrafted collections from across India. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Museum of Textiles, a specially curated showcase tracing the artistry, history, and evolution of India’s textile traditions. The event will also host Conversations with Craftpreneurs, offering engaging interactions with artisans, designers, and creative entrepreneurs who are shaping the future of handmade crafts.
Participating artisans hail from craft-rich regions including Kashmir, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Rajasthan, West Bengal, and several other states, reflecting the remarkable diversity and resilience of India’s handmade sector. The bazaar will showcase sustainable and eco-conscious collections, women-led enterprises, artisan-driven businesses, and traditional crafts reimagined for contemporary lifestyles.
