The BIFA WOOD Vietnam 2025 fair kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City, spotlighting “Smart Furniture Solutions” as its central theme. The event, organized by Vietnam Wood Industry Fair JSC, aims to accelerate digital transformation and automation in wood processing. Over 1,000 booths feature advanced manufacturing solutions, including process optimization and digital technologies, attracting hundreds of companies from Vietnam and abroad.
The fair serves as a platform for policymakers and businesses to foster sustainable production-consumption partnerships in the wood sector. Ha Van Ut, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Industry and Trade, emphasized the fair’s significance in showcasing cutting-edge technologies and highlighting the robust development of Vietnam’s wood processing industry.
Vietnam’s wood and wood product exports reached approximately $8.2 billion in the first half of 2025, up nearly 9% year-on-year. Nguyen Phuc, Director of Transformer Robotics PTE Ltd., noted that the industry’s push toward high-tech production requires full automation, digital control, and AI integration, putting pressure on enterprises to secure highly skilled labor.
The event includes B2B networking, market trend seminars, and strategic cooperation agreements between local and international enterprises, expecting to draw nearly 10,000 industry professionals.
