In a Delhi NCR market dominated by builder floors, The New Brick has chosen a narrower, more personal lane. Director Nimit Rangar describes the firm as a turnkey design and construction practice focused on independent houses, villas and cottages.
โWe have exclusively segregated ourselves in creating independent villas where the ownership is with a single owner,โ Rangar said. โYou are able to do a lot of creative work when somebody is building their house for their own usage.โ
That choice shapes everything from process to product. The New Brick works end to end, from the first conversation about a clientโs idea to the handover of a move-in ready home. โThere is a single team involved,โ Rangar explained. โThere are no gaps between the concept and what gets delivered.โ He acknowledges the tradeoff. Turnkey is demanding. It is easier to execute a small scope and move on, but a full build requires continuity, patience and accountability.
Sustainability at The New Brick is framed as practicality rather than marketing. Rangar sees clients maturing from surface choices to durable systems. โPeople want systems that are easy to use, less to maintain and longer in life,โ he said. The studio shortlists product categories on performance and serviceability, steering clients toward solutions that lower upkeep over time.
A current commission in Sector 39, Noida illustrates the firmโs design position. The five-bedroom villa pairs a duplex and a simplex in a neo-classical language, with a European tone in elevation and interiors. โYou will not see this very often in Noida,โ Rangar said. The choice is deliberate. He is wary of modern faรงades that lean on metal, HPL and composite sheets. โInitially it looks fascinating,โ he said. โBut after a few years you get bogged down by the heaviness of the structure.โ Classical proportion, he argues, ages better. โYou never get bored of what you see.โ Asked if neo-classical and neo-vernacular are trends, his view was firm. โHere to last.โ
Service commitments are explicit. Typical projects run 14 to 18 months. After completion, the firm manages everything for two years. โWhether it is electrical, plumbing or paint repair, we hand-hold our client,โ Rangar said. The contrast he draws is with fragmented contracting where responsibility blurs once keys change hands.
Rangarโs path began in interior consultation and has grown into eight years of turnkey delivery. The roadmap now includes product lines that complement the build service. โWe are venturing into home automation,โ he said, citing AI-based tools that reduce energy consumption. The company has also entered the plywood segment to firm up supply and quality control.
