American technology company Snaptrude has launched a major update to its cloud-based, collaborative 3D building design tool. The third version of the software is designed to streamline the development of early-stage architecture projects by providing an all-in-one design ecosystem.
Snaptrude 3.0 features four primary modes: Program, Design, Present, and Building Information Modelling (BIM). These modes work together seamlessly, allowing architects to quickly turn ideas into digital models. The Program mode replaces disconnected spreadsheets with live-linked tables synced to the model, while the Design mode includes modelling tools to shape project ideas.
The Present mode is a collaborative whiteboard for presenting ideas and creating client-ready decks. The BIM mode keeps momentum intact with features like Sketch and BIM, enabling easy development from concept to model. The software’s AI capabilities include AI programming, AI-powered adjacency packing, and AI rendering.
According to Snaptrude, the update aims to remove obstacles between concept and construction, cutting time and administrative tasks. The company’s founder, Altaf Ganihar, said: “Seven years ago, we founded Snaptrude on a simple belief: architects deserve tools that move as fast as their ideas. What began as a browser-based sketching prototype has grown, patiently and persistently into a full-stack platform used on projects across the globe.”
Snaptrude offers a free trial, allowing users to build their first three projects for free. The company aims to empower architects to design more efficiently and encourage successful collaboration amongst design teams.
