Lang & Schwander, a boutique hotel interior design firm based in Miami, has recently completed stunning designs at three prestigious properties – two located in the Caribbean and one in South Florida. The firm is renowned for its expertise in FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) projects.
One of their latest projects is the newly opened Alma San Juan, a boutique hotel with 56 rooms situated in the vibrant heart of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Lang & Schwander was responsible for the design of all the guest rooms, as well as overseeing the manufacturing and installation of FF&E elements. The design firm successfully enhanced the Alma’s vision of offering guests a tranquil space where endless possibilities are ready to be explored.
Lang & Schwander has also been entrusted with the comprehensive interior design and FF&E for the 105-room Hyatt Centric South Beach’s extensive renovation. The project involves a complete overhaul of the lobby, bar, restaurant, and exterior pool area, alongside the design and FF&E implementation for 16 unique room categories. The Lang & Schwander team has focused on enhancing every detail of the renovation to ensure that the refreshed property delivers an exceptional guest experience.
Another notable project is Windsong on the Reef, a luxurious beachfront resort in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos. Lang & Schwander has been selected to oversee the interior design of the entire condo-hotel, along with managing the FF&E design and manufacturing for both the existing structure and the new expansion.
“We take on every assignment from scratch, whether it’s a renovation or a ground-up project, allowing us to have a more refined focus and furnish-to-fit a property’s individualized needs,” said Marcus Schwander, Co-founder and Principal of Lang & Schwander. “Our approach to each project is described as ‘wholistic’ while never losing sight of deadlines.”
Sebastian Lang, Co-founder and Principal, Lang & Schwander, added, “We have top-flite design capabilities while concurrently establishing clear guidelines and timeframes. It is the combination of those two components – art coupled with engineering – that makes us truly unique.”
