As India’s furniture and interiors industry strengthens its position in global supply chains, industry stakeholders are increasingly looking to bridge the gap between export-oriented manufacturing and domestic demand. Against this backdrop, imm India 2026 is positioning itself as a dedicated B2B sourcing platform aimed at connecting manufacturers with architects, interior designers, retailers, real estate developers and hospitality buyers.
Organised by Koelnmesse, the event will be held from September 1-3, 2026, at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi. The exhibition is expected to bring together over 100 exhibitors spanning furniture, home décor, rugs and carpets, mattresses, surfaces, kitchen solutions and handcrafted collections.
According to organisers, the growing participation from architects, interior designers, retailers, wholesalers, HoReCa professionals, sourcing agencies and buying houses reflects increasing demand for direct engagement between buyers and manufacturers.
“imm India 2026 is not just another exhibition—it is a bold statement of India’s readiness to lead the global furniture and interiors conversation. Our vision is to create a marketplace where Indian manufacturers connect seamlessly with global demand, where design meets business, and where long-term partnerships are built,” said Milind Dixit, Managing Director, Koelnmesse Pvt. Ltd.
Hospitality Focus
For the hospitality industry, the platform is expected to provide direct access to manufacturers supplying export-quality furniture and décor products. Hotel developers, procurement teams and hospitality operators increasingly seek customised and project-scale sourcing solutions, particularly as new hotel development and renovation activity accelerates across India.
Industry observers note that direct interaction between buyers and manufacturers can help hospitality companies shorten procurement cycles, improve customisation and optimise costs by reducing intermediary involvement.
The event is expected to showcase products from key manufacturing clusters including Jodhpur, Moradabad, Karur and Saharanpur, giving hotel owners and designers access to a wide range of furniture, furnishings and décor solutions under one roof.
Trade Tailwinds
The event also comes at a time when India’s furniture and interiors exports are gaining renewed momentum. Recent trade agreements, including the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the EU-India Free Trade Agreement, are expected to enhance market access for Indian furniture, home décor and handicraft exports.
Organisers believe these developments are encouraging more export-focused manufacturers to strengthen their domestic market presence while simultaneously expanding global reach.
“HHEWA is pleased to partner with imm India to create new business and export opportunities for India’s handicraft and home décor exporters. Together, HHEWA and imm India are committed to supporting the growth, visibility and global competitiveness of Indian exporters,” said C.P. Sharma, President, Handloom Handicraft Exporters Welfare Association (HHEWA).
Bharat Dinesh, President, Jodhpur Handicrafts Exporters Association, said the platform would help strengthen India’s standing in the global furniture and interiors market.
“imm India marks a defining step for India’s furniture and interiors industry. It gives our members and the wider ecosystem a focused global platform to showcase Indian design, connect with serious buyers and build partnerships that strengthen India’s position in global trade,” he said.
Global Buyers
Alongside domestic sourcing opportunities, imm India 2026 will host an International Hosted Buyer Programme, bringing trade delegations from markets including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, Australia, UAE, Oman, Israel and Mexico.
The organiser said the programme is designed to facilitate direct business discussions between Indian manufacturers and qualified international buyers, further strengthening India’s export ecosystem.
Confirmed exhibitors include Source, Sunrise International, Sheela Foam Limited, Obeetee Pvt. Ltd., Phoenix Industries Ltd., Royal Rugs, Khivraj Handicrafts, Sankara Furniture Designs, Metaltech Design, Saraf Exports, Tapisserie Home, The Furniture Folks and Mahesh Handicrafts, among others.
Industry Platform
Beyond product sourcing, the exhibition will feature conferences and knowledge sessions focused on architecture, interiors, design trends and manufacturing innovation. The event will also host the imm India Excellence Awards, recognising achievements in sustainability, craftsmanship, innovation and design.
Supported by industry bodies including the Association of Furniture Manufacturers of India (AFMI), Jodhpur Handicrafts Exporters Association (JHEA), Handloom Handicraft Exporters Welfare Association (HHEWA), Buying Agents Association (BAA) and several regional trade organisations, the platform aims to create a unified marketplace for India’s furniture and interiors ecosystem.
With hospitality development, commercial real estate expansion and premium residential projects driving demand for quality furnishings and interior solutions, imm India 2026 is expected to emerge as a significant sourcing and networking platform for hospitality procurement professionals seeking direct access to India’s growing manufacturing capabilities.
