UltraTech Cement has commissioned an additional 2.7 million metric tons per annum (MTPA) grinding capacity at its Aligarh unit in Uttar Pradesh, taking the total grinding capacity at the facility to 4 MTPA. This expansion is part of the company’s ongoing growth strategy, aimed at strengthening its presence in high-growth markets and improving its ability to serve regional demand.
The Aligarh unit’s enhanced capacity will support more efficient logistics and distribution across Uttar Pradesh, where UltraTech’s total capacity now stands at 13.1 million MTPA. With this commissioning, UltraTech’s total domestic grey cement manufacturing capacity has reached 191.36 million MTPA.
UltraTech’s global cement capacity has increased to 196.76 million MTPA, including 5.4 million MTPA of overseas capacity. The expansion underscores the company’s commitment to meeting growing demand in key markets.
