The architecture and interior design sector witnessed a significant cross-cultural exchange as IPS Academy, Indore’s School of Architecture, successfully concluded its International Collaborative Program in association with the National University of Singapore (NUS) from October 5 to 11, 2025. The program provided students with a rich educational and cultural exchange experience, aligning with the institution’s goal of producing globally competent architects.
During the visit, students and faculty members explored NUS’s innovative architecture, including the SDE 4, SDE 3, and SDE 1 buildings, which showcase sustainable design principles. Dr. Johannes Widodo, Head of the Department of Architecture Conservation at NUS, delivered a lecture on sustainability in the built environment, highlighting the synergy between technology and passive design techniques.
The delegation, led by Architect Neelam Kushwah, engaged in joint research projects, knowledge exchange, and capacity-building initiatives. Students gained valuable insights into Singapore’s human-centric and nature-inspired architectural approach, as well as its sustainable urban development model, including the “City in Nature” vision.
The program included cultural and adventure activities, such as visits to Sentosa Island, Universal Studios, and the Night Safari, which enriched the students’ global learning experience.
