Asian Granito India Ltd (AGL), one of the country’s leading luxury surfaces and bathware brands, reported consolidated net sales of INR 388.2 crore in Q1 FY26, up 7.8% year-on-year, underscoring steady momentum in India’s building materials and architectural finishes sector.
EBITDA rose sharply by 58% to INR 24.9 crore, with margins improving 204 bps to 6.4%. Net profit stood at INR 7.6 crore, compared to a net loss of INR 1.7 crore in Q1 FY25. The company attributed the performance to a strategic shift towards high-value products, lower gas prices, and tighter control over indirect costs.
Exports contributed INR 63 crore, rising 26% YoY, highlighting growing global demand for Indian tile and surface solutions.
AGL’s long-term goal is to reach INR 6,000 crore in revenue over the next 4–6 years, supported by what it calls an “Enhanced Strategic Integration Programme” to streamline operations, scale manufacturing, and expand product categories across tiles, quartz, marble, and bathware.
Structural moves to strengthen growth
The NCLT, Ahmedabad Bench, recently approved two Composite Schemes of Arrangement involving multiple subsidiaries and associates. These restructurings will consolidate tile businesses, carve out the marble and quartz verticals, and integrate Adicon Tiles operations — a move aimed at unlocking value and strengthening manufacturing capacity for both domestic real estate demand and export markets.
In April 2025, AGL also set up a new overseas subsidiary, AGL Surfaces SARL in Senegal, with a 60% stake, to strengthen its presence in West Africa’s construction materials trade.
Strategic brand play
To reinforce market positioning, AGL has rolled out high-impact campaigns with Ranbir Kapoor as the face of its “Premium ka Pappa” line and Vaani Kapoor for the Bonzer7 range, targeting younger, design-conscious homebuyers and architects.
Commenting on the results, Kamlesh Patel, CMD, Asian Granito India Ltd, said:
“AGL has delivered a resilient Q1, with efficiency and sustainability at the core. With NCLT approvals behind us and overseas expansion in motion, we are well-positioned to cater to India’s real estate boom and global demand for premium surfaces.”
