Michèle Lamy and Oliver Gustav have curated a new exhibition showcasing Rick Owens’ sculptural furniture designs at Studio Oliver Gustav’s neoclassical museum building. Titled “STAGING,” the show explores contemporary art, design, and spatial storytelling, featuring contributions from artists like Scarlett Rouge, Giovanni Bassan, Kaare Golles, and Rasmus Rosengaard.
The exhibition includes several of Owens’ new furniture designs, such as Large Screen in Alabaster and Large Screen in Plywood, which circle sculptural pieces inside Gustav’s halls. Other highlights include Owens’ Chalice Vase, featuring an upper cylinder shape and lower conical shape made from crystal, and his Single Prong and Double Prong seats, made with concrete.
The show frames Owens’ interior works as an exploration of contemporary art and design. “STAGING” is now on view at Studio Oliver Gustav through October 11.
