The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) Kannur Centre and Kerala Chapter successfully organized the IIA Southern Regional Conference (SRC) 2024, held on November 29-30 at the picturesque Vythiri Village Resort in Wayanad, Kerala.
The conference, themed “Bridging Binaries,” brought together over 900 architects, planners, and policymakers to discuss the intersection of humanity, society, and innovation in architectural practices according to a press release.
The event featured insightful presentations and discussions with renowned architects and experts, including Alejandro Aravena, Kalpana Ramesh, Harsh Vardhan, and Pratik Dhanmer.
The conference also included workshops, inter-chapter competitions, and a panel discussion on humanity and innovation, highlighting the potential of architecture to drive social change and empower communities.
The event concluded with a thought-provoking panel discussion featuring Alejandro Aravena and Bijoy Ramachandran, emphasizing the need for inclusive and sustainable design practices.
